After assessment · Report use

Plan how to use your assessment report.

A report can support different conversations in different ways. Choose where you may use it and what you want to accomplish so you can prepare focused questions without uploading the report or entering personal information.

Purpose before disclosure

Start with what the setting needs to understand

A school, postsecondary institution, workplace, treatment provider or funding program may ask different questions. Confirm the purpose and the receiving organization’s requirements before deciding whether it needs the full report or more focused information.

A report informs a process; it does not decide the outcome

A psychological assessment report may support accommodation, treatment, funding, benefit or planning conversations. The receiving organization applies its own rules and makes its own decision. A report does not guarantee an accommodation, service, funding decision, benefit or legal outcome.

Share information thoughtfully

  • Ask what information is required and why.
  • Confirm whether the full report is needed.
  • Use the receiving organization’s secure submission process.
  • Consider consent before BrainLab communicates with another person or organization.
  • Keep a copy of what you provide and note any deadline.

Frequently asked questions

Does a report guarantee accommodations?

No. Recommendations may support a discussion, but the school, institution, workplace or other receiving organization applies its own process and makes its own decision.

Do I always need to share the full report?

Not necessarily. Ask what information is required for the particular purpose and what the organization’s process accepts before deciding what to share.

Does this planner read or upload my report?

No. It asks only about broad settings and goals. Selections remain in temporary browser memory and are not transferred to BrainLab or the Next-Steps Planner.

Next step

Use the report to choose a manageable next step.

Move from report-use planning to a small set of priorities, with no requirement to continue care at BrainLab.
